0900: Yumma mia! Scrambled eggs on toast with parsley, the very best way to start the day (well actually that’s debatable, breakfast is essentially my favourite meal of the day and I have a million favourites up my sleeve, but I’ll probably mention them in passing soon…)

1000: Today’s outfit (plus ridiculous pose, my leg looks broken, ha ha ha. I need a good camera & tripod, pronto…) and off to seminars!

(UPDATE: the shoes are Topshop from a few seasons ago, still firm favourites in my wardrobe, though!)

1500: Books (and tea, and cake, building a Peckham’s on my route home is a terrible idea, yum!)

1600 (i.e NOW): Thinking about how the girl below makes me wish I was 13 all over again, when I used to love cutting my own hair and would have gone with the pastel thing, not to say that her two-tone purple isn’t super (and would have done so without fear or hesitation, maybe I’ll just start all over again, let loose on the pastel dyes once it’s a bit longer and go with the flow…)

And mulling over these charmers:

(Does Motedronningen post outside of Scandinavia, does anyone know? I intend to make at least some fashion week events next year, unlike this year’s academic mayhem put a stop to, and can’t think early enough about how cold it will be and how best to combat that – my mother is never done telling me how underdressed I am for the weather conditions…)

And I’m feeling triumphant, because I finally managed to order some of this:

Matte nails here I come! (Thank you Tone for the tip!)

Today I was regretting missing a local clothing swap recently (my sister came to visit, I don’t see her often and we went out and ate and talked for hours instead), does anything like it exist online or through a blog anyone knows about? My wardrobe needs a little reinvigoration, and the style blogging arena is huge, I’m sure something could be arranged/discovered with your help!

    • thank you! the eggs were tasty, nothing like a dash of both pepper and parsley to liven up scrambled eggs!

  8. I hate breakfast. Or, I hate it when I have to eat it erarly. If I can chew on some toasted bread, tasty cheese and scrambled eggs around noon its fine. But breakfast early in the morning- ew. Makes me wanna puke.

  9. Oh, that breakfast look delicious. I’m with you – breakfast is my favourite meal! So many delicious things to be eaten… And I am one of those crazy people that CAN eat it at 7am.
That parka is really lovely. I can imagine layering it up with lots of chunky knits. It’s things like that that make me feel like this cold weather is not such a bad thing!

  10. thank you for your sweet comment!
in all honesty, i think red lips look best on fair-skinned dames…it’s such a juxtaposition, but that’s what makes it so great!

i love that gorgeous shearling jacket you posted, where is it from?
i also love that slate (is it lavender?) hued sweater and your boots! too cute =)

    • the shearling jacket is from a Norwegian online company called Motedronningen (http://www.motedronningen.com/), i’m just wondering whether to take the plunge and invest in some outerwear!
i know what you mean about the red lips/fair complexion thing… i think i just haven’t found that perfect shade.
